Breaking Point emphasizes a moment in time and a sense of reminiscing, the recognition that you are experiencing something beautiful but fleeting.

“As the pieces developed in this series, I kept feeling a sense of nostalgia for life, for the moments I was experiencing at that exact time, and even for the moments that I had yet to experience. While creating the images out of very thin washes of ink and charcoal, I felt an intentionality with the layers; yet, I wanted to allow the ink to flow with gravity when I knew I couldn’t control it. I was focusing on slowing down the simple, quick moments. A phrase kept popping up in my head as I worked through the series, "A Fragile Existence."
